For the sake of experimentation, I wanted to try shooting subjects at a distance, illuminated only by off-camera flash. By masking out the light stand and flash, I wanted to create the illusion of an unseen spotlight in the sky. Not quite the effect I imagined, but fun…

I don’t get it…how did you mask the light stand? Very cool picture. Is there a way you could suspend the flash from above the subject? You know….climb a tree or something?
Brushed it out in Lightroom. How ’bout YOU climb the tree while I shoot?? 😉
