It’s not every day the police department’s mounted patrol visits our neighborhood, so a surprise appearance by Bubba and Scarlett attracted quite a crowd.

Bubba is a 14-year-old Percheron/Clydesdale mix standing 18.1 hands tall and weighing in at an even ton. Scarlett is an 11-year-old Percheron/Friesian mix standing 17 hands tall and tipping the skills at a svelte 1,600 pounds.

Officer Ken and Officer Sarah patiently answered questions and handed out trading cards while Bubba and Scarlett posed for photos and avoided stepping on anyone with their massive hooves.
