We take every opportunity to spread the word about epilepsy research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, especially in the days leading up to our annual luau.

Antoine, our Lily’s Fund fellow, and Matt, a UW neuroscience professor, were kind enough to take time out of their busy day to speak with Eden from WISC-TV.  It’s not easy to condense big science into small soundbites, but they both did very well. I understood most of it. Kind of.

On my way out of the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research, I was struck by the morning sun hitting the lobby wall.  You may only see one word there, at first — “research.” Look more closely, and you’ll see the word “cure.”

If you’re going to read the writing on the wall, you might as well be inspired by it.
