Nelson Dewey State Park is named after Wisconsin’s first governor, and the park’s 756 acres were once part of Dewey’s estate. This was my first visit to this state park, which sits atop a 500-ft bluff overlooking the Mississippi River.
I joined friends Jen and Chad for some sightseeing and campfire camaraderie. Their exuberant boxer, Layla was a great companion.
We enjoyed a visit to the nearby Potosi Brewery.
