There are days when my lovely wife feels like she’s on the edge…like she could be in over her head at any moment. Can you blame her? Keeping this family on the rails is more than a full-time job. To the rest of us, she makes it look effortless. At the end of such a day, you’ll find her with a glass of red wine and a book, taking refuge in a comfy spot.

Anne wanted to do her portrait at the Tenney locks breakwater, with the blue chair (and her wine) teetering on the edge of the rocks, with rising waters all around.

We got plenty of quizzical looks and a few comments from passersby. One of those comments may be my new title for this project. “You’ve got to chair-ish the moments,” came the spontaneous pun from a man watching me carry my blue chair back to the car.
