I’ve never seen the Aurora Borealis, much less attempted to photograph it. So, when Art and Chris invited me to join them late last night, I jumped (and yawned) at the opportunity.
We spent a couple of hours at Art’s favorite spot in Arena, Wis. With plenty of stars in the sky to photograph, there was no sign of the Northern Lights. It was only on our way home that we spotted the telltale pillars of light dancing on the northern horizon. Risking life and limb, we set up on the side of the busy country highway.
My one salvageable Aurora photo was taken with the SLR mounted to the car window using a C-clamp.
Exquisite!
Great shots, Dave!
Thanks!
