The AC Hotel in downtown Madison has one of the best views of the capitol dome, from the ninth floor rooftop restaurant where people typically enjoy nighttime lights with tapas and cocktails. I was downtown for sunrise this morning, and the good people at the AC’s front desk were kind enough to grant me access to the restaurant. I grabbed a few photos of the day’s first light bouncing off the glass bank building and the capitol.

Captured with my Irix 15mm f/2.4 lens, which soaks up a 110° field of view.

A “selective color” edit of the same image. What do you think of this one?
