In the Adobe Lightroom develop module (see screenshot), you’ll find a panel of  factory-installed presets, including nine applied to the images below.

What exactly do these do? I have searched for any reference to these presets in the Adobe instruction manual or online help, with no luck.

With or without this insight, I thought it would be fun to see a side-by-side comparison. For this image of the iconic Tenney Locks tower, I’m partial to the yesteryear effect, which reminds me of a vintage postcard.
